Our Story

Trvl Porter is owned and operated by women who care deeply about people and the planet.

Started by FIDM alumni, Stefanie Nissen, years of experience working in the fashion industry exposed her to the negative impact the industry has on the environment. She began to see that a traditional path as a designer in the fashion industry was not in alignment with her values and concern for sustainable ways of living and consuming.

Making a positive change, she pivoted from fashion designer to stylist feeling fulfilled by helping women look and feel confident through style and self expression. With her love for styling, her passion for travel and her advocacy for sustainable fashion, TRVL PORTER was born.

Vision Statement

Our vision was created with sustainability at our core. Rental clothing is where our roots were planted so we could offer a circular approach to fashion consumption. We strive to be responsible, accountable and transparent by mapping out our sustainability efforts and charitable giving.

We Believe

We love to connect people by providing style experiences through travel.

We’re not perfect, but we believe that small actions can make a big impact.

We choose the brands we present on TRVL PORTER according to our main values as a sustainable fashion company.

female owned

When you support Women Owned businesses, you are investing in women's economic empowerment, gender parity in commerce, vibrant communities, and the growth of the economy overall.

BIPOC OWNED

Supporting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) owned brands is a tangible way to be an ally. It helps BIPOC communities share in the economic opportunities available, brings different perspectives to the fore, and celebrates diversity in an otherwise white-centric industry.
